All QoVision Systems have the same core
components. At least one of each component is required in every
Signage System. Your configuration may call for more than one
player or more than one Editor but all systems have at least
one:
Editor
Network Manger
Player
The Editor's main function is to allow the
user to import media such as PowerPoint files, animations, images,
videos, and sounds into the QoVision system. It is also the layout
tool that allows you to create the digital signage you wish to
display.
The Network Manager, as its name implies,
is the user interface that is used to manage the entire network. It
is the heart of every digital signage system and you can think of
it as a traffic cop that makes sure the various content created for
your network gets to the right destination quickly and safely.
Finally, a QoVision Player is a software,
that creates the actual pictures that appear on your digital
signage monitors. It listens for updates from the Network Manager
and follows the instructions it receives step-by-step.
These three components work together as a team to make your
digital signage network easy to own and operate.
QoVision uses a unique "Nested Container" strategy to help you
organize your digital signage. By initially constructing
communications links that allows your content to automatically find
its way to only the monitors that need it the QoVision system lets
you maintain your system with just a few clicks each time you need
to change content.
These nested containers allow you create channels of information
that can be displayed by your system. Each player and its
monitor(s) is tuned to a channel on your system allowing you to
deliver a specific blend of content to one or more locations based
upon what that audience needs to see.
On a daily basis the system editor will add, change or delete
media files at one end of the chain of nested containers and
QoVision will ensure those media files are delivered to the
locations that need them and that they are displayed at the correct
times.
