The QoVision Digital Signage System has 3 main software components that must be configured when setting up a new system. These three components work together as a team to make your digital signage network easy to own and operate.  They are:

  1. Editor
  2. Network Manager
  3. Player

These three components may have any number of licenses in the configuration but a basic system requires at least one of each. Usually, a system only has one Network Manager but often a system may have more than one Editor License and typically it will have more than one Player license.

These three licenses actually contain 5 software applications. The Editor License only includes the Editor application. The Network Manager License comes with the Network Manager application and the Server Daemon. The Player License comes with the Player application and the Player Daemon.

The following diagram shows the communications paths utilized by the QoVision System:

The applications along the top line of the diagram are the interfaces used on a day to day basis. The Daemons on the bottom line of the diagram are not frequently interfaced with but are very important. These Daemons are designed to run 24 hours a day, 7 days a week but players will continue showing content even if the daemons are not available. These 5 applications can be installed on the same PC or separate PCs and servers as required by your network and your desired digital signage workflow.
